This project was using what we learned about elements, electrons, neutrons, and protons. We got assigned an element and then made an atomic model of the element, and had a note card attached to it, to provide more information about the element. The element that I got was cobalt.
Why I'm most proud of this project/21st Century Skills
I am proud of this project because it took me a lot of time to build the model. It came out very beautiful and exactly how I wanted it to look. The 21st century skill that I used was information skills because I had to research and provide information that would teach others about my element. It challenged me to grow my research skills and presenting skills.
How I could improve/what was difficult
I could improve on making sure that I fully read the requirements for the sizes for the electrons, neutrons, and protons. I made my electrons bigger than my protons and neutrons which isn't correct. The project was difficult because it was hard to assemble the model, but I found a pattern and a process that worked to make it how I want it to look.
How does this relate to the past/how can I apply it to the future
This project relates to the past through utilizing the skills that I've learned from the past to find the most reliable information. I can apply these skills for future projects, and jobs because knowing how to find valuable and reliable information is incredibly important.
